12-20-17:  Proposed Rule Making by OMH related to Operation of Licensed Housing Programs for Children and Adolescents with Serious Emotional Disturbances.

12-6-17:  Notices of Adoption by the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services related to Chemical Dependence Outpatient and Opioid Treatment Programs and Residential Services.

11-1-17: Proposed regulations from OASAS related to telehealth practice and the provision of children’s behavioral health services as part of the ongoing transition of that system into Medicaid managed care.

10-25-17: Emergency regulations from DOH to allow facilities (mental hygiene, hospitals, nursing homes, etc.) to become designated caregivers who can lawfully acquire, possess, deliver and administer medical marihuana to certified patients residing in such facilities.

10-4-17:  Regulations printed related to Standards for Chemical Dependence Outpatient and Opioid Treatment Programs; and HIV and Hepatitis Testing Requirements in Residential Treatment programs.

9-27-17: Proposed regulations from Department of Financial Services related to regulation of commercial insurance products.  This regulation provides for a formulary exception process for medication for the detoxification or maintenance treatment of substance use disorder.

8-16-17: Emergency Rule Making issued by the State Department of Health related to Physician and Pharmacies; Prescribing, Administering and Dispensing for the Treatment of Narcotic Addiction.  This regulation conforms to federal changes to increase the number of patients that a practitioner can treat for opioid addiction in an office-based practice setting to a maximum of 275 and to extend prescriptive authority to NPs and PAs to treat patients with opioid addiction using buprenorphine.
