Big news: MRT 2.0 recommendations include Healthy Minds, Healthy Kids in final recommendations

March 19, 2020

There is good news coming out of the MRT II final recommendations that were voted on today. In a surprise move, the recommendations include language that would restore funding for CFTSS transition rates and exempt Health Homes Serving Children from Medicaid cuts. There is also language in support of continued work through the Children’s MRT behavioral health subcommittee.

You can see the recommendation documents here and here.

These recommendations will still need to be approved by the Legislature, but this is a very important step towards enhancing children’s behavioral health supports, and would not have been possible without all of the hard work and advocacy of this group.
